Has anyone bought a carbon fiber hood off eBay for an RD1 and if so, who was the seller and how was the fitment???

if you go into the COTM (CAR OF THE MONTH) thread, the fourth entry for the contest has a carbon fiber ebay hood, indicating yes some people have bought them with success.

bottom line is, look at the feedback, if you trust them and if they guarentee that it wil fit. ghead

the nice thing is.. it is easier to get a hood to fit the RD1 than the RD2. Thankfully we have that small slit of a grill opening between the bumper top and the hood. The RD2 sits flush. That opening can hide a LOT of fitement sins.

my cf hood for my rd2 was easy fit, it need a couple more washers and I kinda lowered the hatch part down, but it fits perfect.
