I personally see something along the lines of the widebody flare-esque of the 86ish widebody 944 Porsche. I think that body style would be sick if someone was able to pull it off on a Tib the flares would match perfectly with the style of the body and I just think that kit is a little too much... too bad I am photo-shop dumb...

personally, as I tend to be a subtle person, I would simply keep the stock lines, but widen the fenders so that they look more or less stock.. but it would give the car a more "coke bottle" curvyness to it..

That's a good point Mad. Blacktib, are you gonna sell the fenders (and other pieces) individually?

It would be so much better if it could be hands on, too bad we dont have rd models we can modify to really get a feel for what we could do. That would be so much more fun than trying to modify a photo in photoshop.

Default Re: FS: BBTB

see, the problems we have with the tib is that little detail curve above the wheel wells. Any kit that just flares the wheel well area immediatly looks dorky due to that "lip". This is why I suggested widening the entire fender to give the car a wider look.. if you blended it in well, most people would never notice it.

BTW.. the SRT4 "miami vice" kit just looks stupid.. especially the rear wheel well.

When I think of wide-bodied cars, I think of Supras.

Yeah that line thing Mad's talking about does pose a problem. With the widebody fenders I have, thats the only part I dont like, is how the line meets with the door line. It just looks wierd. I wouldnt mind if we could do away with those lines altogether, but then you'd have to modify the doors. :?

edit: I like how with the Protos kit they did a good job of blending the door lines into the flare of the widebody..

Had to come into the office on new years eve!! :x

As it's been quiet, I thought I'd give it a go... I don't have Photoshop & the software I'm using only allows for very basic changes. Here's my effort...

It's been hard to find anything even remotely widebody for the Tib!

I used this pic as the basis...

I really like the bottom pic, except for the front flare. I dont like how the curviness of it looks with the zefiro bumper. But I do like how the rear looks.

Default Re: Speed Factor SS Equal Length Turbo Manifold GB

I like it mang. Too bad the whole hood molded into the bumper thing wouldn't be very feasible, nor practical. Anyways, I was thinking, why not just get rid of that pesky line? Once it enters the front fender, have it merge into a vent, like how it does on the rear fenders on the proto kit. That way you won't have to worry about that body line going above the fender flares and making them look goofy.

Also, I think any body kit should feature rounded edges and openings, that way it matches the shape of the vehicle. Angular body kit + curvaceous car = evil.gif
