Default cadamuro hood scoop

is this just a piece of fiberglass that blends in with the hood? if i want to make it functional and put a hole in my hood, what kind of filter is used to prevent everything (rain/snow/dirt) from just going through the hood into the engine bay? is there some sort of duct(s) to remove rain water? i like this a lot, but i don't wanna just put some non-functional thing on my hood.

My dad has mine and he didn't look at it too close, but I WILL ask him to.

I do belive it's a functioning scoop, that the hole DOES go all the way thru.

To keep stuff from flying in there, just put some of the metal screening folks put on their bumper holes, that's my plan. As for water and snow, those are no biggie to get on your engine. Dirt and leaves and stuff, again, shouldn't be a big deal as long as you clean it now and then.

Random has talked about this before with his vented hood, water is no problem, so don't worry about the rain.

With the metal screening, it shouldn't be a problem though.

Double Post again, I know I know...

Look, just got off the Phone with my pop, and he said that the scoop doesn't go all the way thru, but it's Scribed around the edge so you can cut it if you want to.

Hope this helps.
