Ok, tell me your opinion on tails. Which looks better in general, and which is going to look better on my cobalt Tib?
The black chrome, or the CF? In the pics on ebay, it looks like the cf is darker, but I've been told that up close the CF looks like crap.
I don't see any around here to compare for myself. Whata ya'll think?

BlackTibs, I've seen the black rims. They're pretty close to what I'm looking for and far as style, but . . .black? Hrmm. It's under consideration. Wish I'd've been able to see them while I was out there. Ahh well. Thanks for the advise.

Black Chrome Euro's, don't get the stupid APC ones.

Trust me, the CF looks REALLY bad up close, like someone painted them thru a screen door.

Hobgoblin has them and loves CF, he hates his tails (CF), but loves mine.

best visual upgrade to attract attention to your car:
Vinyl (in a contrasting colour)

I should know, ever since I had my vinly installed, everyone looks.
Before, nobody even saw my car, it was like it blended in with the crowd.

Hands down larger rims and tires and a nice tight stance! There have been so many cars I have seen that with just rims/tires and a set of lowering springs that totally changes the looks of the car. Good to do before looking at body kits cause once you kit a Tib it usually makes the stock rims and tires look like little donuts LOL. smile.gif

body kit!
it's cheaper than rims, and almost any car with a bodykit gets noticed..i have a kit and stock rims and my car gets noticed, i am saving for rims but there is a lot of other stuff i have to get first
i just ordered the cf tails, led underbody kit, el-glow pedals, and in two weeks i am getting the complete set from blacktibs for my interior+angel eyez :-D
too bad i couldn't make it into the airram gb i was really going for that but i got into a little accident and had to order a new fender + headlight, then paint for it. set me back about $400
but yeah i would say a body kit because it will get you noticed just as much, and it is a little cheaper than rims/tires (an EASY $1200 for something nice) but i guess that depends on if you get one that fits that you need a shop to put on for you or not.
oh yeah led kits make u pretty noticeable if it's at night wink1.gif lol, if u got the money (about 800) definitely get a body kit or find a good deal on a set of rims maybe with tires.

Yes a body kit makes a big difference for looks but I wouldn't really say it is cheaper unless you have a paint booth and the knowledge to use it. Getting a good paint job and getting the kit fitted can end up doubleing the price of your kit or more, especially if you go with a cheap knockoff kit. I have heard several stories of people spending like $1500+ to get their kit painted/fitted in the end. You can get a nice set of rims/tires for fairly cheap ($1000-$1500) depending on diameter and has a performance enhancement as well! Just my 2 cents. smile.gif

this is cuda turbo's buddy. i also drive a tiburon--97 1st gen. as far as exterior mods go, i have simply done rims, lowering and clear corners. i find very "simple" mods go a long way--sometimes less is more. but i like classic timeless looks. i believe that the rims are like a tie on a suit. if you don't have a nice tie, it doesn't matter how nice your suit is. rims should be chosen more on how it fits with the contours of the car, versus what you like. it can make or break the look. i fell in love with these 10 spoke rims but ended up buying 5 spokes because of how it synergized with the car. it has since grown on me. i get a lot of nice complements on my car, most people dont even know what it is!!![/img]

that is the truth... when I went wheel shopping a couple of years ago.. I did it with my car in mind. The rims I REALLY like are the Momo Racer.. but they did not go with the more organic and soft look of my tib.. I eventually settled on the Enkei RPO1 (out of production) and while the majority of people think they are the stock rims that came with the car. Those that know cars... not even hyundais.. tell me I got some great rims to go with my Tib.
