Anyone paint their side view mirrors themselves?

Default Anyone paint their side view mirrors themselves?

I got a cobalt blue tibby and black side mirrors..I was thinkin of painting them the factory color and putting the factory clear lacquer over them...Just not sure how to take em off..suggestions?

There's a triangle trim piece behind the mirror above the interior door panel. It's held on with clips, it just pops off. Unhook the electrical connector (if you have one) Remove the three 10mm bolts to remove the mirror.







Mine were replacement mirrors with black primer. So I used some leftover black paint on them so they would look a little better. I took them off a few years later when I changed to manual mirrors.
