AAAAAHHHHHHHHHH... - Brand new update (PICS)
well i remember him saying that he was gonna get the car all repainted because the body kit was a lil off of the rest of the car and it looks like u got the old spoiler holes filled and lil dents fixed....thats what looks like to me
na guys, no change of color, I really love the cobalt blue, so it's just getting fresher paint with a little more metallic on it... and better clear coat... and yes, everything will match now... smile.gif
can't wait till you guys see it and the way the system turned out... smile.gif
they said about 2 weeks... has to be ready for show season on the 29-30th...

thanks I hope so too... but as you see it was needed, the car is almost 5 years old, and the paint was becoming dull no matter how much I waxed it, and plus that bumper not matching was killing me, there wasn't one day I would walk around it looking and staring at it, I couldn't take it anymore... smile.gif
2 WEEKS TO PAINT THE CAR THE SAME COLOR!?!?!!? eek! eek! Dear God man. What are they doing...spending only a couple of hours a day on it?
Anyway, I noticed they did alot of spot sanding, with what looks to be some spot filler as well. Did you have alot of dents in the car, for there to be so much filler? One other thing...it looks like they sanded the hatch pretty well. PLEASE tell me they're gonna take the entire car down to bare metal before spraying the fresh primer, paint, & clear. If not, you'll be right back in the shop within a few years doing this all over again. If they sand the car down to bare metal, what kind of chemical paint adhesive are they mixing with the primer? PPG has really good primer with molecular paint bonding stuff already mixed in. However, it only comes in black primer. No grey or white.
Are you having them do anything with your sideskirts, like molding them? Also, since you have the CF hood, tell them to add a tiny bit of cobalt blue to the clear, and spray the hood. You'll have something interesting, similiar to what Summer has done to her car. Except, the result won't be as dark or have as much depth in the paint. It will just give the CF hood a nice shimmer of blue when the sun hits it at certain angles. wink
