Woohoo my car is repaired. Had to replace the junction box in the passenger compartment (there is also one under the hood). Got it done under warantee so its all good

The little box that comes with the HID's is the ballast. Wire harness is ordered seperately usually so the lights can get power straight from the battery vice the existing headlight wiring.

Ordered my wire harness from Diode Dynamics and will be reinstalling my HID's when it comes in. Even though I only had them in for 1 night I loved how bright they were.

Ok I installed the wire harness and the lights appeared to be considerably dimmer than when I had them pulling power from existing headlight wires.
I noticed that the harness from Diode Dynamics has a ground on both ends should I ground both or is it a ground one end or other?
By grounding both ends did I send to much juice to ground?
Besides that I do still like the "whiteness" but had to pull the rig out due to a miss clip with my wire cutters (was trying to cut back a little of the heat shrink)

the extra grounding should only improve the power flow, right? A better ground on an amplifier is better, a better ground for your alternator is better, a grounding system for the chassis/battery/engine block is better. I don't see how using two grounds is bad. Just make sure the power wires are secure and have good, tight connections.
If I'm remembering correctly, you had 55w power from using the headlight connections with only 35w ballasts. Maybe there was too much power causing them to be brighter, which also fried your boxes. Now you're probably seeing 35w power instead of 55w, but it should still be a huge improvement over stock and still plenty bright. I'm running 35w in my GC.
