my cousin has a 95 gsr and he tried asking the people on the honda boards but they dont know ****, so i said that i would ask you, the problem is that he went into reverse and the gear grinded he then came out of reverse back to 4th and then back into reverse now the shifter is stuck and wont come out of reverse. he pushes in the clutch all the way to the floor. he even let the car roll forward and then back up again but it still will not come out. the pedals look good.
what could be the problem?

Sounds like his tranny is...well...horked.
Taking it to a professional transmission shop is my reccomendation.
You can try to "force" the shift lever out of it's current position, but chances are you will bend the shift linkage before you unwedge the syncros.
If you guys are determined to "force" it. Use a prybar on the shift linkage end points On the tranny itself. (follow the cables/bars to where they end, and try it there). Rock the car back and forth as you try this...with the clutch held down.
Chances are you will snap the external shift linkages though. They are not meant to take the stress of a pry bar.
It is also possible that his tranny is 100% fine, and he just screwd up his clutch, so even though you rare pushing the clutch in...It's just not moving or it has shattered the pressure plate.
If you are not confident ripping a tranny out and apart...take it to a professional. It will be cheaper in the long run.
