This is about as bad as electric superchargers man. LSD is a very complicated device, in no way can a block of metal "replace" what an LSD could do. this might ''work'' but at an expense to your car's life. this is another if its so good to be true, everyone would have it.

Phantom Grip LSDs arent a true LSD, it doesnt engage in turns, so its no good for autox and road racing. They lock only in straight lines, so are ok for drag only. They aren't THAT bad, just make sure you want that, or a true LSD.

Uh...the only member we know of who installed one, blew a differntial and snapped a drive axle. Granted, this was at the drag strip with drag radials on.
His second differential also blew with it installed (axle okay this time). This was at 2000-3000 RPM, normally accelerating from a stop light with street tires.
On the THIRD differential, he left the Phantom Grip out. He's had no more differential or axle problems since, at the drag strip, or the street.
I would say, DON'T USE/BUY it.

The KAAZ LSD is very popular in Korea. Mainly due to it's price point being lower than quaife's, and the fact that the quaife unit needs to be "altered" to fit our trannies.
The problem with the KAAZ unit is the fact that it is a "clutched" disc type. Some power is lost due to the "slipping" of the clutches. It also wears out over time. Your gear oil also needs to be changed every other oil change (6000 to 10,000 miles, depending on how hard you drive).
When you consider the extra costs of gear oil, and the fact that it will eventually wear out, the $200 to $400 savings over a Quaife unit are not that big.

Just to clarify,(not only being anal wink ) I think you meant the KAAZ unit in the second paragraph needing the extra maintenance?
