You can get info on the SMT6 on http://www.perfectpower.com/. No real need for pics of it, as it's not meant to be showy like the S-AFC2.

The SMT7 is out, but it's not a replacement for the SMT6. You still want the SMT6.

Yeah the SMT-6 is a good way to go. Its just as versatile as the E Manage and the software to tune it is free last time I checked.

Yup, the software is free with the SMT6 and REALLY nice. There's so much ways to use and tune the SMT6, very impressive little unit. Good price too.

Does that mean, with the SMT6, you don't have to go to a dyno shop and tune it?

NOt really, sounds like it's a little more USER friendly though. IMO nothing can compare to a dyno that knows what they're doing.

Default Re: My New SAFCII Mount (56k LOL!!!!)

You absolutely need the dyno to tune such devices, mostly because of the wideband O2 sensor. The butt-dyno isn't too good at saying if the A/F is spot on or not wink1.gif

You can get away with a wideband and tuning the car on the road, but you need to be pretty good (and obviously not alone wink1.gif).

Anyway, a real tuner's experience can't be replaced.

That sucks for me cause I have a SAFCII but I haven't even installed it yet as there's no place to tune it around here. The nearest place is around 3 hrs from where I live.
