Maybe the KA24, but not my VG30. 465,000 miles... over 300,000 from delivering newspapers. Now that's a much harder life than car parts. stop-and-go 15 feet at a time, rarely seeing higher than 45 mph, hauling 2,000Lbs. of paper.

VG30's were boosted to 500whp regularly in 300z's.

Can't speak for the DE models, but the VG30ET in the Z31 300zx is a prick of a thing to work on. Engine bay is just nonsensical spaghetti.

I'm not sure what you're talking about. There's way more room in the 300zx than the Tib.

I'm impressed, yours is way tidier than what the OEM turfed up.

Top left near the battery, bottom right near the driver's headlight, and top right near the firewall. It's just a mess of vacuum hoses and 'Where does that go? What? Why would anyone doooooo that?'

The same was for all vehicles around 1980. Emissions control went crazy.

DETT is the worst as far as engine bay room. Have to pull the engine to replace the knock sensor. I've built 3 of them so far...
