Where is the speed sensor located?

Default Where is the speed sensor located?

hey guys just wondering if anyone knew where the speed sensor is? I'm picking up stuff from tibbychick 2morrow and wanted to get the sensor also...problem is we dont know where it is....reason why i want this is my speedo is dead and awhile back there was a thread saying that the speed sensor could be the problem...so if anyone knows please write back...thanks..

This is going to sound funny, but I remember reading about it a long time ago. Apparantly it is built into the gauge cluster and is about the size of a grain of rice. It was on hyundaiaftermarket.com. Your best bet would probably be to swap out the whole cluster.

which speed sensor? there should be on on the tranny for triggering the speedo.

If your speed sensor is bad, your cruise control will also be inop. Anyway here is a shot of location on top ot the trans case.
