Default Where can I get my speed and RPM needles calibrated?

I know that I can get this service done by a Hyundai dealer, however there is no Hyundai dealer in my area. I was wondering if I can go places like Midas or other tune up shop to get my car checked by their computer. I heard that those computers they use to check speed and RPM are universal, so they are not very accurate. What's your opinion on this?

When I installed the SR guages I filled up the gas tank, let it run for five minutes so it was at idling RPM and temp and then put the needles back on. Gas Full, idling RPM of like 850, speed of 0, and temp slighly below middle. The speed is like 1 mph off and the rpm maybe 50. I have never tried to do it at a shop so I can't give you much advice on that end.

I did that before, and the RPM needle went to 2000 RPM at idel wink

The reason why I want to get my needle calibrated by pro is that I am not sure if my throttle cable is positioned correctly. Also, even though I did same as what Zeek did to set up speed needle, it seems like that it is off by 10 mph and doens't work properly when the speed is below 30 mph.

When taking off the needles you should've pooped the speed and rpm over the pegs and let them 'unwind' and come to rest pointing somewhere near the bottom of the gauges. Then when putting them on it's easier to do, luckily for me I had access to a scantool and just put the car on a hoist and revd it to line up the needles where they should be.

That is the one job I would NEVER want to do again!

If you can ever get down to LA, I can hook up my laptop to your car and we can go for a short drive. That will allow us to set your speedo and tacho to the proper readings.
