Default Whats the difference?

Between the 6 speed and 5 speed Gen 3 Tiburon?

When test driving, the 5 speed feels faster and is 5 times easier to shift, plus it has a shorter OEM shifter.

6 speed makes one arm and leg grow bigger than the other???JK

If you know how to use the more closely ratio'd or higher overdriven 6sp box, you have the chance to eke out better performance, if you know how to control the engine RPM, the 6sp can to some extent yeild better MPGs as road speed will be better matched to engine speed.

But in all likelyhood, one arm and leg will grow bigger than the other...

I don't know if you are refering to this, but maybe it "feels" faster because it weights less, I mean the feeling or feedback should be better on a lighter car. Maybe the 6 cyl is faster, but the L4 is more pleasant to drive? I leave that to the ones that have had the experience to compare both.

No......

The 2 Tiburons that were test drivin were both V-6's. They were both the top of the line GT's.

The 5 speed shifted diffrently than the 6 speed, but in a better way (plus it costs less).

When going into gears on the 6 speed, the shift has kind of a restriction....like you have to force it into the next gear.....!
The 5 speed however is easy to shift into gears, like my freinds Interga Type R. I was able to control the car better due to the ability to shift when I wanted (unlike the 6 speed that wasted a little time between each shift as the restriction was there).

So the 6 speed is basicly there for better MPG, not performance.....correct?

that may be because they have had longer to work the bugs out of the 5 speed.

Average drivers, probably wouldn't need the 6th.

performance wise I dunno which one would be better for you.

But the 6-spd may also feel different because it was designed and I think built by someone in Japan.
