I was with Rick and Kyle who is the engineeer for Real-engineering yesterday. Kyle told me if i put high compression pistons and change my cams with tuning i could hit 200whp,mmm. They told me that they are running that in Korea right now. Anyways they dynoed a V6 tib and got 209whp. Another guy with a V6 supercharged alpine is running 220whp with a stage 1. Kyle was going to tune his car with that module he developed but forgot some tools back home so he will be emailing that guy a stage 2 tuned supercharger good for 260whp. Overall very nice guys and i hope Kyle can develop something like that for our ECU's. Oh and Kyle told me he has tune 1000hp beta motors in Korea. WOW!

i wouldn't mind purchasing the cams, but i would have really no clue as to how to "tune" the engine to accept them.
it's for sure that our stock ECU will not accept them?

Maybe with something smaller (242s, etc.) the ECU could handle it... but when you start looking at 264s, 272s, etc. the ECU would run into idle problems, running lean, stalling, etc.

Just a matter of getting a piggyback and adding more fuel at spots that the ECU can't manage on its own, and maybe adjusting the cam timing to better suit what yuor looking for.

I want cheaper products and an MSD. Chris is beginning the cheap onslaught of FlyRyde equipment and I am very thankful. Keep em comin.

My biggest hold back (10X greater than $$) is time. These last 6 months have felt like I'm cramming 36hrs of work/sleep/rest/priorities into 24hrs every day...

Like I mentioned earlier though. Can a piggyback Vtec controller work the Variable valve timing that the beta 2 uses?

i dont belive you can controll our vvt, but i may be wrong. i looked into it cause i was sent a vafc the first time i purchased an safc.

as far as na for our cars i would like to be able to get a good port and polish job. that seems to be the real weak point in our engine. if we could clear that up i think we could be able to make some killer power out of the beta. that takes time and money. and money seems to be the number one problem for people here. i am there with the rest of ya on the money issue.

ionno, i haven't heard of more than like 10 hp comin out of a port and polish on celicas and eclipses' and cars like that. but they weren't highly modded either. is it the type of thing where the more mods you have the better it responds or what? even if so i don't think it'd be a killer mod

Well, the Eclipse has a good head to begin with. Hard to make something thats already good much better than it already is. The Beta, from what I've seen, sucks balls.

Read Random's topic, he goes into detail about it....

yes. this mod is like BBTB, CAI... etc. the more you have mods - the more you have gains from every mod. Port and polish work makes better air flow through the head.
