I searched and came up short, but I have a feeling that this has been covered before. So if it has and some1 knows the link to the post would you please post it up here for me. I want to know instead of swapping out the 2.0 ecu for the 1.8. Can you simply just go to a shop and have them work with the computer to fix that flat spot in the lower rpms? Again sorry if this is a repost.

 

Appearently not unless you live in Korea laugh.gif. You can do a piggyback setup, like safc, or greddy emanage, or smt 6, search those. Or a full stand alone unit.

 

yeah i know about the emange, safc, smt6, etc... I was just wondering if somebody knew if we could have a place adjust that flat spot. I was hoping so since it doesnt seem like too big of a job to do. (IF we cant have it tuned a bit here, whats the reason. Why is it so difficult. Its 3am and Im tired so forgive me if this has been discussed a million times lol)

 

I'm trying to figure out the same thing. I just want general NA gains. There is a way to do it. Hyundai can do it. There's a pinout line that says "reprogram". It's just gotta be possible...... That and hoooking up and turning off the darn airbag light.

For low RPMs flatspot, change your spark plugs, they might be fouled or misgapped as well as bad wires.
