Hopefully Stocker lol. Everything is done according to all DIYs. Right now we have the motor almost in. Only concern I'm having is the TOB.

TOB is easy if you have it all lined up and done in the right order. Not so much if you already installed it 02.gif

We are sure we have it right, but it would suck having to redo it. We'll find out tonight lol.

Yea had most of the parts sent to my dorm room lol.

Well good and bad news.

Bad first, she's not done. I'm driving my g/f's corolla boring3.gif

Good- All we need to do is hook up the ECU. We've checked everything and it all seems to be working fine. Put all fluids in last night but at 1am and in 25° F weather the ECU was just a PITA to put in. So once we get the ECU in HOPEFULLY (which I'm sure she will) she'll start up, we'll burp the coolant and take her for her first drive with a standard.

I can't wait!

^^^ Well brakes are draging so adjusting free play today lol. Scared me when the car wouldn't really move.

Now for my big problem. When the battery is connected I can't get my key out, however, when the battery is disconnected I can. This leads me to think that either the car still thinks that it's in drive or there's a short. I have done the wiring as to the DIYs and phone calls to Jmans and my wiring seems pretty solid and I have checked it about 5 times already. So I'm lost right now.

Is it possible that maybe I tripped the security system somehow?

not sure how the security system would affect the key getting stuck.

Do you have a remote starter?

Try messing with the #7 and #8 wires... if you undo whatcha did, does the key work fine?
Try messing with the ECU pin (86 is it?)... run hot wire directly from battery (using FUSE!) and see if anything changes

Try to undo / redo everything, and test the key throughout each undo and each redo process. Find the point at which something changes.
