Here goes i have read the diy on the auto to man swap.
The only thing i have a question about is....
Will the elantra shifter, clutch peddle and cables work
cause i have been unable to find a manual tibby?
I have found two donor cars both elantra's both are 99's.
One is a manual the other an auto.
I want to do the manual swap but my budget may confine me to the auto.
Assuming the auto from the elantra is the same.
If i get the auto from the elantra will i need anything else.
This guy from aamco was telling me the fgr was different on the elantra and
now i am confused as to whether this will affect anything like the ecu or tcu.
any help will be greatly appreciated.
will

Yah the elantra cables, pedal, and shifter all work, Swifts tranny and swap parts are ALL out of an Elantra.

If you must go auto, the final gear ratio is most likely different in the autos, but i don't see a reason why it wouldn't work. just in case grab the TCM out of the elantra.
