My car has poor acceleration and the exhaust which
is a motoria sputters. i called the place who installed
my exhaust and they said that something up further
near the engine is causing sputter and poor acceleration

i have new plugs and wires and am about to get a timing belt.
since the timing belt plays an important role in how the car
words, could the poor accelaration and exhaust spuutter be
caused by a misalignded timing belt, etc??

acceleration is also poor off the line, i have a new clutch,
can the timing belt be causing all this. i can hear belts
squealing and the timing belt is sounds off track when i put
my ear up to the location of it....

thats not possible. a timing belt is a maintenance item only. without it your car wont work. if it does anything other than what its supposed to be doing, your engine will be toast.

thats about it.

if you already changed plugs and wires PROPERLY, then i would say its a fuel issue. you need a new fuel filter and then try running some fuel injector cleaner through the system to get rid of any partial clogs in the injectors.
