Throttle Body Install
I just got my TB from Shark(not barney)! Woo! Is there anything I need to keep an eye out during install? Should this be a pretty quick bolt, wires, clip and two hose kinda job? I was thinking I should pick up a gasket on the way home since this one didn't come with one. Even though I've seen posts from people using the stock gasket. Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks!

It is a piece of cake, just make sure you route the coolant lines back on themselves rather than connecting them back to the new throttle body.
you have to redirect the coolant lines from your motor back to itself, it's easy but if you don't you'll spill coolant out and fry the head. also I have a good write up on the install, guess tho I'll have to take a few pics to show where the coolant lines are, the older 93-95 Elantra gasket ( 60mm ) will fit fine to replace the old one, that or cut the old one with a cookie cutter smile.gif
I think maybe you were asking "Why re-route the lines"... You do this to keep excess heat out of the throttlebody for performance reasons. Your coolant runs arouns 195 degrees, there's not a whole lot of reason why your TB should have to be THAT hot.
The reason those lines go there to begin with is to keep your TB from "freezing up" during very cold winters in climates that are very humid... (read: frost buildup) I have never seen or heard of someone having this problem, and I doubt even if it were cold enough to do such a thing that coolant lines would fix the problem very quickly anyway.
Even if it did freeze up, letting the car idle for about 1 minute would solve the problem.
