Get some pic's up after you install it..PLEASE. Also RANDOM...do you have that self-install procedure?

 

Yeah, I'm going full boat on the install. I'll take step pics and size comparison pics as well.

EDIT:

Steps from Randopm prev. post:

Remove throttle and cruise control cables.
Remove 4 bolts holding TB on
Remove 2 hoses under TB
Remove TPS from TB
Remove 1 of the 2 hoses, and connect the remaining hose to that connection, effective routing the coolant.
Install new TPS on new BTB
Install TB, tighten 4 bolts
Install Throttle and cruise cables.

You will have a phunky idle, Drive for 5 mintues, Let idle for 2 mintues, then adjust the idle control screw on the TB (drivers side closest to the firewall) if the idle is still high/low.

If the coolant keeps the TB to hot then wouldn't be wise for someone with a CAI to redirect the coolant even on a stock TB?

 

Yes, it would. But the hoses are such a PITA to get to, you have to remove the TB...so most people only do it when messing with the TB.

 

One thing I left off this install. If you have a Bored Intake Manifold (BIM), you will need to cut the stock gasket to fit the size of the throttle body opening. This is important...only the TB opening, not the IM opening. If you look at the backside of a bored stock TB, there are airpockets back there, you do NOT want the cut gasket to allow air into those pockets. Only cut the gasket to match the TB.

 

So it wouldn't be worth the effort on a stock TB?

i thought some one metioned before that you did not have to put a new TPS on when changing the TB, u could still use the old one,
is this true?

 

No, there is no point in cutting the gasket on a stock TB. You can go with a bored TB and cut gasket with a stock IM if you plan to have the IM bored at a later date, but will really not see any gains out of the BTB without the BIM.

 

Yes, you can reuse your TPS. I'm not 100% sure were the word "new" came from on those instuctions. Fault me. You just move the TPS from the old TB to the new BTB.
