I found this old thread with some good idea's in it. Anyone else have a suggestion. I'm going to be trying it again tonight.

http://www.rdtiburon.com/index.php?showtop...&hl=bearing

I took it to a mechanic, dealership, then a transmission shop. None of them could do it and the transmission shop was afraid to work on it when I told them the dealer couldn't do it!!!

This sucks, I didn't get the tib together on saturday because of my stupidity and wanting to test out the tob first.... arg. btw, this is on my new act street clutch.

Your dealer won't pull the TOB off? Idiots!

I paid mine $20 on the side the first time I had to do it. But then learned real quick the next 5 times.

Just wedge a small screwdriver to one side of the clip, and push the other side using another small screwdriver. Then pry up with a large flathead. That's my trick.
I bought two kinds of snap ring plyers and I can't get either to work well.

After reading that thread I linked too I went how last night and literally had in off in a matter of 30 seconds.

What I did:
1. found snap ring
2. put snap ring plyers between the two pins coming out there with the plyers at a slight angle up.
3. pushed the tob down on top of the plyers.
4. opened plyers - I had to repeat this twice. The second time I did it the clips caught under the ring on the pp.
5. just grab a big flathead or pry bar and pop the tob off - I was even able to remove the plyers while I did this.

edit: btw, the dealer has only one hyundai tech, he took it for about an hour. When he returned it to me and said he didn't have the special tool to take it off.
