Hey guys!
Im not sure if this has been covered but i noticed with all the aftermarket Rside TB i have owned i have had the gas pedal stick on me when i drive. It doesnt do it all the time but when im at a stop light and take off in first gear the pedal gets sticky sticks and the car jerks for a bit.
Just wondering if anyone has the same problem running an Rside TB.....
The one i have is a 70mm one.......
ANy solution to the Fix?

I HATE this f***in problem. I feel your pain bro.
I noticed this when I first installed and it has gotten progressively worse. It first only happen after I was at WOT and would let go of the gas pedal quickly (causing the butterfly to slam shut).
I would ilierally have to slam the pedal to unlock/freexe it.
Recently I took apart my entire TB (whole srping assembly, etc). To clean it. I thought maybe it was carbon build up or dirt making the TB stick. But after an entire can of carb cleaner and a very shiny TB I still had the problem.
It's almost like the butterly fly is just 1/10 of a mm too big and when you let it SLAM shut it jams itself in the TB chamber.
BUT!!!! Now this happens ALL THE TIME. No matter how nice I am when letting off the throttle, when I go to press the gas again it will stick (not too bad but just enough to jerk the car once it finally gets depressed).
I have two theories:
Butterfly was just made too big.
OR, after taking a look at the insides of a stock TB I noticed that when closed the stock throttle body is at an angle and when at WOT it is parallel with the TB chamber walls.
on the r-side: when fully close it is perpendicular (not at an angle). Which may cause the butterfly to stick like it does. and at WOT, the butterfly is actually OVER 90degrees somewhat restricting airflow. (at least with my r-side). I adjusted the butterfly so it only opened to 90degrees when at WOT for maximum airflow but there is nothing I can do to make it close at an angle. I would have to change the design of the butterfly to have angled edges...see what I mean.
I am currently in search of a solution too! wink1.gif

I've never had this issue with any of my TB's, including the Rside.
Neither has anyone I've sold one to, from myself.
Check your cables and make sure they are routed right and not SLACK> Might wanna lube them a bit too.

the one i got from op had this problem. so i went to work with my dremel.
took butterfly out and grinded away around the edges a tincy bit. did the same for the gunk that had built up in the bore wher the butterfly closes, then i smoothed it out with a wire brush on the dremel. works like a charm.
