Hey guys,what do you think about these NGK Iridium IX spark plugs i found on ebay? i went to their site and they are the best that NGK has to offer but they wouldnt list prices, i dont know if this is a good deal here. here is the web site

i figure i should get some nice plugs sometime b4 i go turbo and if this is a good deal i might roll with it.

you payed the same for the same exact plugs? if so where at? cuz if i dont have to get them shipped it would be better

 

I read copper gives the best conductance over platinum and iridium, so I would go with the NGK V-power plugs. Only thing is you have to replace them more often, but they are under $2 each so it's not that bad. If you are going turbo you probably want a stage or 2 colder rating. NGK BRK5E-11 for regular coppers, NGK BRK7E-11 for 2 stage colder coppers.

 

I have these plugs. I actually think I bought them from the same guy. Been 3 months or so and they havent high speed glazed yet. I do alot of highway driving and plugs usually tend to glaze after 2 months.

 

I guess it just depends on what he wants out of the plug. Do you want a plug that's a better conductor of electricity that you'll have to change sooner or do you want a plug that will last a long time that's not as good a conductor.

 

it wouldnt cause a problem if i put the stage 2 plugs in before i go turbo would it? im trying to get the stuff that doesnt come with the speed factor kit before i get it. you wouldnt happen to know the relative price of these of the top of your head would you?

The performance loss would be negligible. I don't think it would be that noticable. People run stage or two colder plugs when they are running nitrous and I've never heard anyone complain about having loss of power when they aren't running Nitrous.

I only run coppers. They are the way to go. Iridium, Platinum, etc. are overpriced crap. smile.gif They last a long time sure, but you lose performance with them. I replace coppers every 5k miles, and most of them time they are moderately worn. Twice-Thrice a year isn't bad for plugs. If your not willing to change your plugs for a little bit of power three times a year, you shouldn't be looking at a turbo.

NGKs are great plugs. I think those would be your best bet, you've got the right idea.
