Is something wrong? please help
if you have a loss of power with this noise.. than the leak is somewhere in the intake between the Airflow sensor and the head.. I would start with the two hoses from the valve cover to the intake manifold and start from there.. Like said above.. glass cleaner works well.. spray any joint (TB to intake for example) or hose connection and see if the noise goes away or lessons for a moment.. if it does, you found your leak.
I have checked the air filter and it seems to be fine. Yesterday I was checking it out and im pretty sure the noise was coming from around the intake manifold. im going to try to get outside today and see if i can pinpoint the exact location

I now know for a fact that it is your IM. you warped it and it is sucking air into the engine without the ECU knowing about it. Take it to your mechanic, he needs to true the flange. (shave it so it is level, not warped) So it will sit flush on the block. You'll need a new IM gasket too.

I never really put the two together but you sound pretty sure of this. ill have it checked out.
Edit- Any idea how much im going to have to pay for everyhting?
Another Edit- Alright Im almost 100% sure this is the problem because there is definately a hissing sound and we had a pretty cold winter here. All along i thought the noise was coming from the intake manifold. when i wud lift up on it and move it around the noise would stop so saying it is not sitting level makes perfect sense. Thanks so much for the help!

ooo. I don't think that is the same problem I had. Maybe just try tightening the bolts, maybe they're stripped. If you can move the IM then I would rule that out.
Check to see if you can tighten the bolts, I would suggest getting new ones if they came loose. Then if the problem persist's go ahead and get it machined down. I think it cost me around $200 for a garage to do the entire process. I'll check tomorrow for the bill and post the exact amount.
