you could just crank the stereo up.. nahh.. well.. maybe..

If it is comming, from the left.. wouldn't that indicate something else though? Maybe with the steering itself, ie ball joint bearing.

 

i have the same problem been wondering what it is, i get it as soon as i start the car, it screeches for about 10-15 seconds, usually until i get out of the driveway. my belts seem fine too, you sure it's the belt?

yea.. I go through that.. I have the aluminum underdrive pulley.. if it is not PERFECTLY tight.. it squeals.. especially in cold weather
