RPW makes cams for Beta1's and Beta2's. The units SR got in to test were Beta2's, that's why they didn't fit on Decker's Beta1.

RPW cams are so similar in pricing because the COST involved in the cam blank, and the grinding of the cam is basically the same, thus they have the same price. I wouldn't buy a cam from a company that charged $100 for some cams and $700 for the good cams. There's no reason for the cost difference, the materials and machining costs are very similar.

HE-MAN:
The XD cam would be a good choice, but installing a timing gear is a bad choice. The intake and exhaust cam are linked at the other end via a sprocket and chain. If you retard the exhaust say 2 degree's, you also retard the intake 2 degree's...as they are linked. You would have to have the sprocket of the XD intake cam machined/alterd so that you can alter the intake cam timing via the sproket, and then alter the exhaust timing via the cam gear. MAJOR PITA. They do sell sets like this in Korea, but they are NOT cheap.

Decker-
The ECU adjusts SPARK timing, not CAM timing. Cam Timing is hard set via chain and belt and cannot be changed unless you change the cam gear or sproket. Spark timing can change by 45 degrees.

Random can you tell us for the BETA I 2.0ltrs which is the best of the rpw cams for streetrace and normal daily driving????Eg.stage1 ,2 or 3????????

Stage 2 and 3 do REQUIRE springs, but they are an additional cost.

The 'best' performance cam would be the "stage 3", but I'm unsure if you would pass emissions with that cam installed.

If you want to remain "emissions Legal" I would advise only the stage 1. The Stage 2 might pass, but are you willing to be the "tester" to find out? Heck the Stage 3 might even be able to pass emissions...but again, do you want to be the guy out $$$ because you have to remove them?

Lastly, I would recomend a S-AFC with ANY of these cams. In order to see a REAL gain/benefit out of changing the cam profile, you will need to alter the fuel as well. Also, With JUST the S-AFC and a Dyno Tune, Red got 8 HP to the wheels. Why not get an S-AFC, and the Cams, then get it tuned. You should be looking at at LEAST 10 HP to the wheels, possibly as much as 30, but I think somewhere between 13 and 20 is more realistic.

To also confirm - RPW now manafacturs camshafts for

Beta 1 1.8 / 2.0 motors
Beta 2 1.8 / 2.0 motors

Excell / Accent SOHC and DOHC motors

Coming soon the Delta V6 engines will be following.

We recomend stage 1 grind for the majority of people.

Note we can also do custom Turbo etc grinds for the same price wiht enough notice.
