Hey

I might get hated on for asking this, and I'm pretty sure I know the answer but........

I have a 1999 Tiburon and there I found a cheap 2000 Tiburon engine/transmission for sale. What I want to do is buy this engine, rebuild it, then drop it in my tib. I know that the blocks are the same but are there any discrepancies between the two years that I should know about before buying it?

Again I'm 90% sure that they are compatible but I just wanted to run it past you guys before I bought it smile.gif

Thanks a lot!!

-Nick

no differences. As long as you have a 2.0 in your 99 then you're fine.

Your location isn't filled out, and I'm not sure if other countries may have had the 1.8L in 99 Tibs. In the U.S. it was a 2.0L in '99

Oh ya sorry. Im in New Brunswick Canada, and it is a 2.0L. Im definitely going to buy it tommorow. That way I can rebuild and possibly turbo it without much down time on my daily driven Tiburon smile.gif

Anything I should look out for when I go check it out?
