i wonder if he just gets an AFC he can adjust the fuel mapping to work with the 2.0L. im just guessing here. maybe upgrade the fuel pump and injectors.

by the way how much HP does the 1.6L put out??

No...the ECU will not work. The ECU also controls Spark Advance (timing). The Timing between the two engines is VERY different.

Also the injectors are different, It will not squirt the right fuel.

How much of an H.P. increase does the remapped ECU on an 1.8ltr Elantra produce??

I'm 99% sure that the 1.6L uses different injectors, and fuel pump than it's larger 1.8L and 2.0L brothers.

The best way to tell would be to compare the injector part numbers.

Moot point. They do not work on North-American Engines.

yeah but wouldnt he have to upgrade the fuel system anyway if he remapped the ECU to 2.0L standards? oh well might as well just swap out the whole engine

and i wish they would chip american cars
