Dude if you're gonna raise compression I really do suggest you go with higher octane, just in case. Lots more heat is produced in the higher RPM range with HiCom(same with turbochaging)and pinging will also become part of the picture when the in-cylinder temperatures get too high(stock cooling system, no oil cooler)

Good luck!

You're looking at a complete engine teardown if you wanna up compression to stay N/A. Thats a lotta dolla in labour, not to mention in parts and support equipment. You really wanna go this way bro?

Dude I'm really begging you here, dont spend anything until you have all the facts right and verified by either the guys here or by someone you know who works at a garage who'll be able to advise you. Lotsa ppl make the mistake of spending hard-earned dolla on stuff they read about in mags, and then feel suckered afterwards. Tell us what you wanna do and let us try to help, I seen lots of kids go this way and in the end they just blew everything they had saved in their search for more power. Aight that means no more $$$ for going to skool or porn or stripclubs or whatever else.

Take it easy man, and try to make your decisions based on dollas and cents with a big helping of common sense.

Good luck!

well i was thinking going with a Direct Port kit 75 to 100 shot..which is why id rais ratio since i have to put in new pistons anyways but, i know first i have to beef up the tranny thats prolly third or fourth on my list..its like i wanna stay N/A but turbo with what im talking about might be just as cost efficient specially with having to refill the bottle with N2O..so im pretty torn maybe ill just start putting togather a turbo setup slowly buy a couple of books and see where it goes from there. Thank you for the input any other additional info would be greatly appreciated
