this is EXACTLY what my car is doing.
I went to tranny place they say i need a new tranny,
now im just wondering whats a pulse generator, where can i find it, is it easy to replace, should i try that first?
also it says on the site replacing tranny would cost around $1000 with $50/hour labour, but its like wut $100 at most places?? so it should cost max $2000 to reuild tranny im guessing.
Dealer wants to charge $5000 for new tranny from korea lawl
tranny place wants to charge $3000 to rebuild.
now i only tryed one tranny place, maybe try more? i payed $100 to them just to get told it needs a new tranny.
but back to the pulse generator.. im mainly wondering about that.
thanks
my 2001 tiburon is a 4-speed automatic btw.

ALSO wondering, maybe i should just swap to 5-speed manual
dunno
ive heard stories where some guys in there tibs, get there tranny re-done and the problem just continues, so maybe this is why. pulse generator i mean...
i have no f***ing clue what that is.

should at least get you going on the right direction. Have you check HMAservice.com? A bit more structured post would also get you more responses.

swap to a 5 speed and call it a day and don't worry about the autotragic ever again..

if you have a shop do it, it will be around 1500$ to get the whole swap kit and have them install it.

entire swap kit will be around 700$ or so.

where do you live? like city, state? there may be some nearby members that could help you swap it and it would only cost the price of a swap kit + a bit more.. if you were in my area, i would offer to help.
