The MAP sensor is absolute pressure -- so a 1-bar MAP sensor is only good for N/A cars that will never see boost (1 bar = standard atmospheric pressure at sea level) A 2-bar MAP sensor would allow for the Haltech to register almost 15 pounds of boost at sea level. And a 3-bar MAP sensor would allow the Haltech to register almost 30 pounds of boost at sea level.

Because I live at high altitude, the 3-bar MAP sensor will (on a boost gauge) be good for around 32psi... Neet huh?

I forgot to mention if the 3 BAR MAP sensor that you have is the same that are on some GM cars.If so can you just purchase one from the dealer and use it with the HALTECH?

 

I just wanna give RED props for laying out that wiring harness so nice and pretty and for numbering all the wires and connectors. That must have taken a bit of time.
