Yes i forgot of his great heritage lines that goes back to the days when they told Christopher Columbus the Earth is flat don't sail or you will fall off because he's actually seen it..........
So someone putting their car on a dyno two times in a row, once without an intake and once with an intake, showing different results, is not enough evidence that an intake can increase hp in that particular case? What kind of proof are you looking for? This argument is childish.
and dont forget the intake shootout that happened on hp.com back in the day
dynoed stock,
then dyno aem
then dyno injen
then dyno random special
all the same day, all right after each other, all on same vehicle
all dynoed around 10% higher hp numbers, with the aem taking win
although ive never seen anyone dyno stock, then added a k&n drop in
one of you anti-intake people should dyno that

I personally dynoed my '01 Tiburon and it made 109 whp bone friggin stock. Without even unstrapping it from the dyno, I installed an AEM intake and made 121 whp.
I'm not going to be a dick and ask for proof, but okay. I'll accept that as fair. (there's always a "but" though)

This report presents the results of an ISO 5011 test of several air filters designed for the GM Duramax Diesel. The test was independently performed under controlled conditions using a $285,000 machine at Testand Corp of Rhode Island (manufacturer of the machine).
The Capacity and Efficiency test report presents the test results of feeding an initially clean filter with PTI Course Test Dust (dirt) at a constant rate and airflow... The exact amount of dirt passed is determined by measuring the before and after weight of the Post Filter. Similarly, the amount of dirt retained by the Filter under test - Accumulative Capacity – is measured by taking the difference between the before and after weights of the Filter. From these results the overall % Efficiency of the filter is calculated.

I can't copy the graphed results across, but view them for yourselves. That is as unbiased as it gets, ladies and gents. I bet you a gentleman that you could have made MORE power if the AEM intake had some resonators or an airbox.
Bet us a gentleman? IDK what games you play in Australia, but I don't have a gentleman to bet....... but apparently you do!?

If you had been around in '01, you would have seen the results. I was 1/2 owner of HP.com and my car was used for many tests back then.
That excerpt you posted talks about dirt, not HP. I don't hear anyone saying an intake is better at filtering dirt, it's not. It's worse. More air = more dirt but also more HP.

Well people generally install air filters to, y'know, filter air. I'll concede that y'all have dyno proof that x intakes increase power output on the RD tiburon.
I remain unconvinced aboutthe viability of pod filters on the whole though, they attract so much rice and thoughtless modification - 90% of the time it is best to just leave bloody well alone. If in doubt, no.
