I use Mobil 1, but that's because I get 20% off, and when we have oil change deals at work, a case of mobil 1 with filter costs me like 25-30$.

go with K&N gold, filters to 10 microns and flows like hell thats the best unless you wanna pay for a race grade filter. oh yea and they have a awsome 1 inch nut for easy removal/install too.

Pure One are a slightly worse, but still very good as well and a little cheaper than k&n.

just make sure you dont get a fram they restrict flow and have cheap filter elements that clog easily and have a nasty habit of running in bypass so nothing gets filtered. they constantly come in last when independent tests are done.

Walmart Filters (Fram or SuperTech) only $3 haha.gif

Dude.

Hyundai Filters are the best deal at $5. The filter element and the construction are high quality. People just don't understand that these aftermarket filters are just plain garbage.

The Walmart Supertechs used to be great filters at $2.00. Since they reengineered and made it cheaper, but a more expensive price.

People also don't understand that MObil 1 filters are not even that good. Champion Labratories(not to be mistakened with champion spark plugs) engineered these Mobil 1 filters, they also make all other cheap filters like Walmart, Valucraft(autozzone) ETC ETC. Why don't expensive oil filters like Mobil 1 have plastic film to protect the filter? this is very important.

Don't listen to anyone and go with my droppings; get Hyundai oil filters. They're high quality construction, the filtering media is high quality and the filter i protected.

I'll check out the Hyundai ones next time. I've used Fram's for all of my cars, and all of them have run just fine forever. My Excel, 1993 Excel that is, died with 186,000 miles on it, using Fram's the entire time.

Now that I push my Tib so hard, I want to try some new stuff, and I will, to see what I like the best, but in the meantime, the Fram Toughguard work fine.

I've been useing pure one since i got the Tib. and i've had no problems with it. The oil still get a lil dirty but not black after the 3k miles.

Next oil change i'll use K&N. Does anyone know the number of the filter since at pep boys they dont have the number on the book?

I'm interested in getting my oil system flushed. I've heard great things about doing this.
