Start the car.
Open the hood.
Push on the side of the TPS. - If your engine rev changes, TPS is bad.
It could be bad if it does pass this test, but if it doesn't it for SURE is bad. Problems with revving, look at the TPS.

LOL. Well I was asking becuase I did that TPS test and nothing happened. So now that you say it could be bad even if it passes the test, it makes more sense.

Silver, go pick one up at Autozone and swap it in, if the problems go away, then it was for SURE your TPS, return the one you bought, then buy a used one for 1/8 the price. LOL
