I have been having problems with my car not wanting to shift. I ound an article that stated "Transmission problems: If transmission sticks in 3rd, shifts poorly, or has harsh 1-2 shift, the pulse generator may need to be replaced. (1997-2001).

Can anyone point me in the right direction or have a picture or anything.

http://hmaservice.com does not have any info on the location of this in the shop manual, just code diagnostics. I think this migh have caused my other problems with my O/D mentioned in a previous post. http://www.rdtiburon.com/index.php?showtopic=26873

If your car is an automatic, that applies to you. The pulse generator is probably the vehicle speed sensor.

I have located the pulse generators one is on the front of the trans, the other is on the top in back. Now I am just having a hard time finding the part numbers for them in hma.

The good thing is the engine codes I am getting are both symtoms of one or both of these parts going bad.

Thanks everyone for all there help.
