Which cams do you have? If you only have an intake hi-cam, its $350 shipped to you + refundable $100 core ecu charge - you get it back when I get your ecu. Add $50 to do both intake and exhaust hi cams.

Could we see a dyno of the 15-25whp?
It just doesn't seem like premium gas is going to make the difference of 15 whp over reg 87 octane
Now all we need is a gauge to fit in our OEM cluster that has the red line at 7200 cool.gif (no ricer tach!!)
Wouldn't your 240 be the same as the 1.8 cam?
I can say that I think most of us are MORE interested in like 270 deg. intake + exhaust cams. (plus i always hear mad jon talking about this setup)

OzFxCoupe-
I'll be able to hook you up as well. You'll probably have to send me an extra ecu so we can look at it first.

Dynos are all relative. At my shops dyno, a stock tiburon in decent condition can only make 105whp (that was nice to know since my car made 300whp on the same dyno wink1.gif )
I'll have a dyno comparing a stock tiburon with the cam and ecu up here shortly. I'd really like to get some people in the states to dyno it there for results.
The 240 cam is NOT the 1.8 cam. It is a reground OEM 2.0 cam.
I know the numbers seem a little high, but I assure you they are accurate. When I first post numbers I always try to play down the gains, but this is the real thing. You'll be amazed at what they can do...
In terms of cost/benefit, this will be the best bang for the buck. These are also extremely streetable which I know people are looking for. You can always upgrade later, plus you could probably sell it for pretty much what you paid for it in the future to other members. If you want to spend the $1000+ for 270 cams, by all means go for it. I won't hold you back. The 240 cam is a solution for the masses on RDtib. You will make more power with this setup than with a pair of 270 cams without tuning.

Seems like you have interest from a few of us on the differences in the results from each setup. I personally can't really see spending an extra $400 on getting the exhaust cam added in. However, I'm open to it if it provides the right results. Keep us posted.

I am definately interested man. I have a question though. If I send you a 1.8L ECU, can I get a re-flashed 2.0? I hear that there are gains from the 2.0 to 1.8 ECU swap but I don't know if cruise will still work and the extra stuff like that on the FX model that I now have.
Thanks jon!

I recently bought a stock '99, and have since put CAI, Header, 2" straight pipe w/ flow-thorugh muffler, plugs and wires. I am currently installing a forged steel crank and rods, with 13:1 forged pistons. I'm also thinking about a custom 2 stage Zex wet kit to run two 75 hp injectors, after I get the bottom end finished. Can anyone suggest the best fuel injector/pump combo for this setup? I am also very interested in the 270 cams and ecu flash. Can the stock ECU with a reflash handle this many mods, or should I start looking for an aftermarket system. Any feedback will be greatly appreciated, since I can't seem to find anyone who knows squat about Tibs.
