Yeah, he had an MSD ignition and was running it, but found out it wouldn't work on a MSD-less engine. The MSD should make some difference on the Tib though... does it have an advance as well as a retard? I know it retards spark... advancing it might scrounge a horsey or two out.

no, you can't advance timing with this model MSD

Yeah, that battery is tits.

Ford, any issues with keeping that sucka charged?

I've been using it for over a month no, no problems at all.

I would like to point out that I dont have any kind of advanced audio system, Just an upgraded pioneer head unit and thats it...

I figure that if someone uses a big amp and a sub box, that it would put a much bigger load on that battery.. it has less than half of the reserve of the stock battery but it does pump out 100 amps more than the stock one (total of 680 amps) !

It only weighs 15 lb and is solid , so you can mount it in any position, even upside down ! I paid $ 85 for it brand new , and like $ 12 for the brass terminals specifically made for this battery.. it is an ODDYSSEY battery... from batterymart.com model: ODY-PC680 from: http://www.batterymart.com/battery.mv?p=ODY-PC680

here is a link to the DIY that I used for installing it on my XD.

The manufacturer of this battery also makes military grade batteries for the US armed forces !

sweet.

The 6211 that Ford installed can only retard the timing and is a better unit for N/A engines, if you are gonna eventually go turbo its better to get the Programmable DIS-2 PN6212 because it can pull more ponies out with a LOT more options of tuning when you finally have a turbo on your car, but it wont give you any noticable gains without it. Just like the 6211 wont give you any gains unless heavily modified!

When I get the msd installed, I feel the difference.... my engine run smoother and even has better acceleration.... Also, I have the SAFC2 (without tuning in any Dyno or with any gauge/wideband) my car was runing very RICH..... But with the msd installed... the smoke of my exhaust almost dissapear and my MilesxGalon get better..

By the way.... I get my MSD DIS2 6211 at Ebay... brand new $160
