They look pretty cheesey. I don't know. It looks like there is a really goo reason why they're only $20. It looks exactly like what it says, an insert. Motor mounnts are fairly large and need to take some abuse.

My only suggestion is that those would be to tie you over till you get new mounts. dunno.gif

Those won't work for the rd1 or rd2 tibs, they are made for the delta motors.

Inserts really aren't that bad. For $20 they really do help. I don't think a majority of you here are getting enough wheel hop to warrant full mounts unless you've basically gotten almost everything N/A or your using forced induction. The YaYa Engine mounts look awesome to me though.

Another thing you could do is fill your own mounts with poleyurethane. Very easy to do, and cheap. tongue.gif

Hamhead...Maybe my car is different for some reason, but I cant ever get my wheels to spin nicley without a lot of hop. Even if i drop it at like 5 grand. I only got CAI and an underdrive pulley. Also, I really only tried to peel out a few times, but when I pull out real fast my wheels dont stop hopping til i let off the gas. I really dont know much about them but it sounds like my car would benefit from full mounts. Any suggestions?

Why are you dropping at 5 grand? Your just going to sit there spinning unless your running slicks. Best way on street tires is 3 grand for a Tibby.

5 Grand is killing your clutch. I don't even launch with that much RPM in the GSX... I feel sorry for the poor thing...

If you must have full mounts, then the YaYa ones @ kspec are great... but don't kill the clutch after you get them...

checked your tire pressures lately DoubleA? It sounds like you have a LOT of bouncing going on in the front end.. either from underinflated tyres, worn struts, or worn out bushings..

Yeah that could also be a factor. How much wheel hop are you getting? Before the mounts on the GSX I could launch and it would turn the windshield wipers on tongue.gif I would run the fronts @ 30PSI... maybe 25PSI if your at the track. If your getting low gas mileage as well, underinflated tires are probably definitely a factor.

Tire pressure is at 32 psi...and like I said I have only tried it a few times. But yea...I will almost always get hop even when i go to pull out fast (if its not wet). Its not an out of control hop, but its not at all a smooth spin. I bought the tib about 8 months ago and it rides great, very stiff through corners, so i think the struts are ok. Also i just had my mechanic look the car over about 3 months ago to make sure everything was cool. So im not sure why its doing this. I got new tires on it shortly after buying it. Since they have nice new tread could that be the problem? Or do you think that its most likely the struts or bushings? THanks

And the reason for 5 grand was a desperate attempt to get them to spin instead of hopping around.
