Haltech USA does direct-sell parts, but I'm not sure if they direct-sell the brain. As in, you could buy all the rheostats and solenoids and idle speed controllers directly, but the brain component I think you have to buy from a reseller.
I purchased my entire setup for $1150 directly from the Hitman in Australia, but I pulled a few strings to get it this way. He doesn't sell outside of Australia under normal circumstances...
I've seen advertisements in USA rice-mags for Haltechs ranging in the $1200-1300 category brand new (brain only) so you shouldn't have too much problem. Figure another couple hundred for the sensors and wiring harness and you're set...
