Hey guys, lately I have been having issues with my car starting in the cold weather.
Every morning when I go out, the car takes forever to finally start. It sounds as if you are cranking on a dead battery.
It cranks, then after 3 seconds, sounds like the cranking is going to die, but then comes back and cranks, and finally starts.
This happens to me almost every morning and not just when I start it up.
If I start it up, drive about 10 miles to the store, when I come out of the store to start the car again, it does the same thing.
I have a good optima yellow top battery so what could fix the issue?

Just dont start your car, you wont have any issues...
Not sure man that is a weird question, could be your starter dieing, or i personally dont like optima, not sure if i just get ones that suck or what, but i have had three and now i am back to the electrolyte and lead batteries!
Do you know or have the ability to do a current draw on your starter?

1. check that your alternator is putting out 14v to your battery at the terminals
2. have your battery load tested at an autozone or local garage/parts store
3. check you gounds and power wire to your starter.
4. suspect starter if all checks out and do as Turboron_99 stated or remove and take to a local parts store for testing

Alternator is brand new, got replaced about 1.5 months ago when my other alternator died. I had the battery tested and it said it was a Good battery at Advance Auto Parts. Grounds are good, should be better then stock since I have a volt stabilizer and a bunch of extra grounds.
id suspect the starter then if ur car is charging 14v, ur battery has been tested, and your grounds and power are good. o and u should still retest everything. new parts go bad often it seems like now.
ive had the same problem, but i have a battery drain i havnt found yet.
