Default MHP CAI?

I have someone that wants to sell me their MHP CAI. Anyways, I see that one MHP's website there is not water bypass valve or whatever. Do I need one, are they even available. Also anyone have any bad news about their CAI. Please let me know before I buy it. Its for a 2000 tiburon.

How much are you buying it for.

I've heard that it's a good intake and has comparable Dyno results to the Kore intake. You can always wait for the SR Intake. They have been saying that it will be VERY affordable.

I have the MHP CAI and I like it noticed a difference after I put it on. With stock exhaust and the AEM bypass valves are available. I would sugest getting one they are worth it and you don't have to worry about getting water into the engine causing hydrolock. But you could wait for the SR one that will be out soon I believe. But the choice is up to you which one you go with. One more thing about the MHP CAI sometimes the pipes are a little off and your AEM bypass valve will sit below the batery tray and while your accelerating hard and the engine torques back. The AEM valve can get hung up on the batery tray and tear I've seen it happen before, mine sets above the tray and I have no problems with it getting hung up.

The only time you would really need the water bypass is if you plan on seeing if your shark can swim. smile.gif J/K

The bypass is always a good Idea. Better safe than sorry.

What is the price he is asking for?
