Default mandrel bending question

I know mandrel bent exhaust is better than crush bent. But there is noone making mandrel bends here. What to do?

If you can, get pre-bent mandrel pipes (you can order them from summit racing or jcwhitney here in the states), and then have a shop cut and weld them together for you.

That's actually what a lot of shops do anyway: they stock the pre-bends and then weld them. They can make some pretty cool shapes with the pre-bends too. Very few shops in the D.C. area have a mandrel bending tool, so this practice is common.

Another alternative is go a 1/4" size up and have it crush bent. Not ideal, but it shouldn't hurt too much. The extra diameter compensates for the roughness of the crush bend.

BUT that extra 1/4 may cause cooling in the pipes before the exhaust gets out the tail end, I would say if the shop stocks madrel bend pipes they can easily fit them together to make an exhaust.

Ah but he has an Elantra, Only Brullen has a catback on the market for it but it was designed for use with the shark headders and it's not cheap.
