Default How long is your glasspack?

If you have custom made exhaust and if you put perforated core glasspack with it, how long is your glasspack? To my understanding, longer glasspack reduces more sound than shorter glasspack.

I checked some site and they had Dynomax Thrush Magnum glasspack muffler from 28 inch to 40 inch. I think I'll go with 28 inch one.

its not the size of the glasspack, it the quality of sound desired wink hehehehe

anyway, shorter glasspack more vroom, longer, less vroom. If you want a very deep loud exhaust, get a 12"-22", good loud 22"-36".

22" glasspack is whats stock with a speedstate MBRP exhaust, so you can listen to their soundfile and imagine it louder b/c of your headers.

I used a 15"x2.25 in my Impreza. Awesome sound. It wasn't too loud and sounded good at any engine speed. Performance was very good, especailly on the bottom end. I set the car up for lots of low end torque for autocross.

Is the car going to have headders? headders increase the sound levels ALOT and you will require alot of sound reduction, I have a 36" glass pack ( longest that will fit an Elantra, it won't fit a tib ) and it's still very loud, just something to consider.

Hey Decker, why are you changing to longer one? Is it too loud? I ordered 18 1/4" pipe a day ago...

I have 4-2-1 header... will my car be way too loud? (At least, with 18" glasspack, it should be quieter than exhaust without glasspack).

hell yeah its loud. It sets off car alarms in my parking deck wink which is cool but cops hear you and people always say "Yeah I heard you coming" which is perfect if you like the fastandfurious loud-ass exhaust, but I'd recommend a longer one than 22" if you'd like the nice deep sound but respectable volume.

to quote my mom..."Dear god, is there something wrong with it?"
