Power gains with the GT headers = I'm peeling out all over the goddamned place. I love these things. They look and sound so friggin good.

If your worried about getting crap in your cat while grinding just throw a small rag in the end while you grind.

Good idea, but what about it catching fire from sparks? LOL

Pics and vids will go up today.

they welded the cat into your stock exhaust?

yeah one of the studs has to be cut but it's ok. i went to get mine installed at meineke. they did a decent job but put the cat and glasspask on backwards. wierd, so i had to extend my second sensor all the way back. now i have to go back and have them rewire it 'cause i screwed it up and there's no way to test its efficiency.

anyways, congrats. they look good but might not sound as badass ad you might hope with a new exhaust.

Actually, their work kicked ass. They did a VERY nice weld job, and the thing fits perfectly. It's more my fault then theirs.

Pics will be up today, as I said.

BTW, I was really worried for about 5 seconds after it had been running for a minute or two. I stopped at a intersection and smoke was pouring out from under myhood.

LOL

PB blaster burning off and the ceramic coat curing.

Whew!

It'll definitely be fixed before the apexi goes on.

if you had the evo hood, you'd get vapor going up when the car starts. do you see the heat rise up from the dash with your current hood? cool isn't it?

Yeah, the heat thing is friggin awesome. And for Javageek, if he didn't have a vented hood, he would have lost his car in that fire.

Anyways, sorry the pics didn't go up yesterday. I've been very busy working on the Sorento to get it Tow ready. I've got to change the oil on both of the vehicles today, then install my O2 sensor on the Tib and run the wiring for it (got some heatshrink splices), reinstall my timing belt cover, and install a Electronic Brake controller on the Sorento.

I'll try my best to get them uploaded today, but latest will be tomorrow morning before I go to school.

Don't you wish you still lived in KanAzz, I would've done it for you for free. I finally talked my supervisor into buying the shop a miller syncrowave 250 dx, this thing is the cats hind end let me tell yuh.

AHHHHH, to be able to Tig again cool.gif

Only bad thing about me harping him to get it, is i get to train anyone that wants to use it. we have several "bubba welders" that work here that won't take kindly to having to listen to me, redneck city.

If I have the option, I'll NEVER go back to that friggin place.

As for the Midas/Cat job, it's still not finished. They put a bad o2 sensor in it to plug the hole till I got home. So I went and extended the wires, went to install it this morning, and there is BEARLY enough room to get the sensor into the bung. Problem is though, the wires from the o2 sensor are rubbing on the tunnel wall.

WTF can I do? Anyone know of a shorter o2 sensor?
