Are the intake manifolds for the 1.8 and 2.0 the same and are they interchangeable? Does anyone know roughly what it cost to get an intake manifold bored?
Yeah...the 1.8 and 2.0 are exactly the same since they share the same head and block.
Pricing depends on where you go. You could do it yourself for practically nothing, but may not get the best results. Or you could go to a machine shop and have them do it professionally for a couple hundred. Just depends on what you want.

You're using the Alpha DOHC intake manifold. You should be able to use any 1.5l DOHC or 1.6l DOHC Alpha intake manifold but not the 1.5l SOHC or 1.6l Beta intake manifold.

There are no gains by boring anything in the IM other than the throttlebody neck. Chop off the opening, and weld on a bigger flange. Chose a 65mm Mustang throttle body and flange.
