Default Free flow cat question

Will a free flow cat increase the sound from my exhaust? I want to get one but my exhaust is pretty loud already. I dont want to increase any more attention if aftermarket cats will make things louder.

If you're comparing an OEM cat that's in good shape with a high flow cat then yes it will probably be somewhat louder. It shouldn't be dramatic though.
