Please use the edit feature rather than double posting.

Also, you NEED that long tube for several reasons.

A cone filter strapped to the MAF in the engine compartment is an improvement over the stock setup, but no where near what a REAL CAI can do.

The AOS Intake by far is the least expensive out of the manufactured intakes. I payed $145 for mines. I had it for about five months, and I love that intake!! Good increase in HP and a very meancing sound.
Glad to hear that because I just bought that one online a few days ago. Everyone has told me good things about the AOS CAI, so I went with that. Got the AEM bypass valve as well just as a precaution.

I have the aos and like it. Until dynos come up here, who knows, but it was the first mod I did and I definitely noticed a difference. Also, easiest to install. I know Random will say it is not a true cai as it gets air from down by the radiator but it also is a straighter pipe than most and you can cut a hole down in the shroud near your radiator so that the filter has a clearer path to air coming under your car. Someone just posted that the kore and mhp were almost useless (1hp gain 1torque loss, vice versa) so I guess there designs aren't worth much in argument!
That did kinda surprise me , tho.
