Good to know. Were selling a bunch to this Hyundai Rally Team in South AMerica, and they said it would be against regulations to have a sporratic idle...just wanted to make sure.

Tell them to double check the timing. We had the timing off by one tooth and it was a VERY sporatic idle, so if that happens they know what the deal is.

there is no idle change, it sounds identical. And don't use a sealant, just re-wet the rubber seal with some oil. A sealant could cause the seal to squish out and leak oil.

I've never used a sealent on the installs. I put a new valve cover on and 10 new journal bolts and that works perfectly.

I am kind of scared to mess with stuff like that. Right now, being uneducated in internals, I don't want to take my chances.
Say I were to get it installed at a tuner shop, how much would it cost me and is it recommended that I take it to one seing that Hyundai's aren't that common out heter to tune. they would be unfamiliar with it. there won't be a warranty on it either because I didn't buy the part from them.
Either way I can wait. I start an automative technician apprenticeship in september for two years in import mechanics. It should be a breeze then.
I would like to see both those install guides that you were talking about.
thanks...
