Default I passed emissions today, with a gutted cat

So last week my internals of my cat fell apart. I removed all the honey comb stuff and popped it back in. Since then no cel has come on. I needed tabs go went down and took the test and passed with flying colors.
I would of failed if they did the sniffer test, but its just hooking up to the ODB2.

That makes me think, is my car running okay?

Accents seem to be hit or miss with CEL's on catless cars. Not having a cat won't make the car run worse though from my understanding, just turn on the CEL. Corrections are made based on the precat O2 sensor, the after cat sensor is only to verify that the cat is functioning properly when checked against the precat O2 sensor's readings.

you can pass because the readiness monitor hasnt set yet

most places will let you pass with 1 monitor not set

once out of curiosity i put my car on a sniffer test...and passed a sniffer test with no cat

in my part of town they only do CEL checks on emissions. I have a CEL so i can't pass but if I reset the ecu and temporarily clear the CEL, will I pass?

i totally tried to jack this thread i'm sorry

yes and no
you can clear the codes and drive it around until all monitors are set

but the second it sets that monitor for the cat your screwed some systems will do it right away others take a day or 2

obd2 is smart it KNOWS when you disconnected the battery

lucky you. See in Cli you get both sniffe and OBDII sensor test...you also get the wonderful "visual" test. Sucks cause unless you look stock, have a great tune on the car you cant get away. Even then ppl resort to paying $300 to "pass" smog.

LOL try moving to Ontario, Canada!

Sniffer test, curb idle test, and 2nd gear 2500 rpm load test, plus full visual inspection.

good ol' Ontario "DriveClean" program.
